6:00pm – 6:30pm: ARRR!!! (Brown’s only pirate-themed, sea-shanty-singing a capella group)
6:30pm – 7:00pm: Alfie
7:00pm – 8:00pm: Sage Snider
8:00pm – 9:00pm: Monica Rizzio & Old Kings Highway
9:00pm – 10:00pm: Sugar Honey Iced Tea

We’re excited to announce the 2013 lineup — it is going to be a phenomenal year, really not one to miss!

1:00pm – 1:30pm: ARR!!! (Brown’s only pirate-themed, sea-shanty-singing a capella group)
1:30pm – 2:30pm: Chasing Blue (High-energy New England bluegrass band)
2:30pm – 3:30pm: Kyle Carey (Singer-songwriter. Gospel twined with Celtic notes)
3:30pm – 4:30pm: Smith & Weeden (Providence-based Americana & Country)
4:30pm – 6:00pm: Singer-Songwriter in the Round (A showcase of local singer-songwriters featuring: Hayley Reardon, Ian Fitzgerald, Sarah Borrello, Matt Borrello)


6:00pm – 7:00pm: Student Bands! (will be announced April 1st)
7:00pm – 8:00pm: Second Hand Suits (Original music infused with blues, folk, and gypsy jazz)
8:00pm – 9:00pm: The Sugar Honey Iced Tea (Female quartet that draw from the great American traditions of old timey and folk)
9:00pm – 10:00pm: Vudu Sister (Folk, Bluesy, Rock & Roll)
10:00pm – 11:00pm: Tallahassee (A roots rock band)
11:00pm – 12:00am: Mighty Good Boys (A rock and roll band with healthy influence of Appalachian & other folk music styles)

Folk Fest 2012

Brown University – Lincoln Field and Sayles Hall

Music noon to midnight, Saturday, April 14th, 2012

The Brown University Folk Festival seeks to bring together the Brown, RISD, and Providence folk music communities through a day of music and lightheartedness. The festival is completely FREE and OPEN to the public.

The line-up is almost set, stay tuned!

2012 will feature yet another round of superb musical acts, workshops, evening contra dance, craft and food vendors, and T-shirts.
